The Pop Nudes of HECTOR OLVERA Interview by Tia Marks, CAGZINE.com I enjoy Pop Art and was recently contacted by an artist doing some interesting work in Pop nudes - Hector Olvera.  Hector's works are thematically attuned to a traditional Pop portrayal of the nude.  He also appears to have leanings to more glamour and movie poses, as well as contemporary themes in portrayal of women with women.  His website has some of his recent works on display.  He is also represented at ArtsCad  . "I have had always a strong felling to express my inner life and I chose the art, like the universal way, to transmit my emotions and thoughts. . . I  tried to develop my works in two tones, I called 'light and shadows', at that time I tried to paint with other technique mixing light and shadows with other forms more abstract and sublimed. . . " "I think the force that impulse myself to create lays in the understanding that I’m not satisfied with my artworks, I force my mind to find a better way to paint. . . I chose the nude woman like axis central of my paintings because It’s the most beautiful being of the creation, and trough the woman I express my inner life, and naked because it’s very close to our soul."
